On the top of the casting are two small vent holes, when the diaphragm dries out and cracks fuel will squirt out of the holes. Similar to the relief hole on the water pump. Fuel leaking out of the two vent holes at the top of the casting. Not many pumps have these holes. Disassembled the pump and the diaphragm was cracked forcing fuel to the upper cavity.

So I think my only options are the $125 edelbrock fuel pump or the cheaper ACDelco fuel pump and install a fuel pressure regulator.
